Snow days make for a messy house.

We have this sign that coincides with our staircase pictures. I know I've showed it before, but here it is again:

The past few weeks have brought a bit of snow and we've had our 4th snow day yesterday followed by a two-hour delay today!  Pre-children on a snow day, I would cook and clean! It used to be a day I would wash curtains or scrub floors on my hands and knees.

Three little girls later have changed an extra cleaning day into crazy pajama parties. Episodes of the PBS show Arthur has been watched and caught up on. (Yep, they are on my DVR daily).

Forts have been made behind the couch and barbie accessories (aka the little shoes, earrings, etc), play food, puzzles, and who knows what else I will find when I move the couch have been squirreled away to their hiding spot!

Crafts have been made and fingernails have been painted.

Cooking lessons have been given as we made banana and blueberry-banana bread. (If I was on my game, I would have made a whole lesson about the letter B!)

Mother Nature, please give me a bit of a "break" by allowing us to return to work/school for a bit.  Even these dolls/barbies look exhausted!  Hoping to get things back in place this weekend!!

Rest up friends!
XO,
dani

  1. Awwww. What a great way to spend a snow day! Enjoy every moment with those smiling faces and little girl giggles. So much better than scrubbling floors and washing windows.
