No School Monday!

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, the school I teach at (about 25 minutes from our house) was closed Monday!  However, my girls' school district did have school because it was a snow make-up day! I love days like this because I feel like I get to be a stay at home mom, even if it's only for a day.

Started the day with banana pancakes. These are my oldest daughter's favorite! Yum!

Then, I stayed in my jammies and slippers as long as possible. Slippers are Mintulka and I recieved them for Christmas.  Not too expensive, but I heart them!!!

Of course, I did have an appointment out of town, so we had to get in the car and grab a quick bite to eat. Can you guess where? (Totally not nutritious, but look how cute that hat is).

I was able to quickly run into one of my fav stores (Target) and grabbed this Valentine decoration (totally copied from  A Bowl Full of Lemons because I loved it on her window sill. Actually, I love everything about her home!)

On the way home to pick up my girls even though it was pretty cold. They didn't have to ride the bus home!  They were so excited!  Did I mention, they have less than a five minute bus ride?! Umm..no exaggeration!  They were still so excited to be "picked up!"

brrr

And then dinner in my brand new Pampered Chef covered baker.  I just purchased this thinking it will help with quick dinners because you can use it in the oven or the microwave.  I made loaded potato soup in it (but forgot to take a picture). The girls ate the entire pot!  I had to make another batch for Tim and myself!  Good thing it's quick! If any of the recipes are as good and easy as this, it will be right up there with my crockpot!!

Hope everyone had a great week!
