My biggest thing is I have to learn to take better pictures. I saw a great post somewhere about always turning off the flash! I'm definitely going to try that. I think it would have done a little more justice to pics of my house that I posted. They are sort-of far away too.
I will retake this in a couple of weeks!
I tend to use my iPhone because it's quick and easy. I will try to make an effort to use my camera. It's not a fancy photographer camera, just a Canon power shot in one of my favorite colors! (With three girls, you have to love pink!)
I have to learn how to watermark photos. I'm not too worried about someone stealing my pics (see two paragraphs earlier!) I do however think it's a good habit to get into and makes the pictures on a blog look like they have a purpose. Unless I'm missing something (and no, I don't own photoshop), it seems like watermarking is very time consuming! Really, you have to watermark each picture? How many of mine will have a watermark with a typo?!
Topics will most likely continue to be a random shuffling between my girls/family time as we are totally in school/soccer season. I will also include house projects like the kitchen and organization projects (Picture below is the latest idea I've had)! Oh..how my closets constantly need cleaned out and how three little girls can be cyclones.
Pass on any tips/comments! It makes my day reading everyone's kind words!

I LOVE your blog! I try to check it when I can. I have it listed in favs so I can keep up with you. I love the pictures, the ideas, everything. I don't understand your lastest project though. What is that I picture of?

I'm glad you love my blog Jen! I love you!! Check back Sunday night/Monday morning! We have a super busy week/weekend, but I'm planning on getting that "surprise" up Sunday! ; )
ReplyDeletei am with you! Ever since I got my first iPhone, i am always snapping pictures with that. I try to bring out my big camera to take photos for my blog, but I think I'm spoiled, it seems like extra work!
ReplyDeletehope you're enjoying soccer season! we are on our first year without soccer, but I am amazed at how busy I've managed to make us without it!
Thank you! I feel busier every year! I guess we'll try to enjoy the moments..and if we only have time for our Iphone than at least we're taking pictures and capturing memories! Thanks for stopping by!!
DeleteI love your blog, too. It is so real-life!
ReplyDeleteI use only my Canon for photos when I travel, and it does a great job. I wish I were better at organizing and keeping them. Every time a computer drops dead, my photos go off to their cyber-grave with it.
Yes, disabling flash on indoor photos yields much more realistic color. I generally take a photo with flash on and another with flash off. Unless the interior is very dark, the un-flash is always a clearer image.
Again--love your blog.
Have to admit...it's still easiest to use that Iphone! ha ha
ReplyDeleteI have 3 boys so I'm really lacking pink in my house! I guess that's why I have so much pink in my closet. I tend to use my iPhone a lot too, especially while I'm working on a project and don't want to get my camera dirty.
ReplyDeleteI love pink, but my oldest has decided she hates it! ha ha
DeleteI wish I could figure out how to upload my IPhone pics so they aren't blurry! Thanks for stopping by! I am the newest follower to your blog! : )
